    PIEEC partners with parents , carers and community members to develop sustainable and resilient solutions by working with wider services and support networks. PIEEC is empowering Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island people.

  • History

    PIEEC established in 2020 for the First Nations Community in Pumicestone region. PIEEC supports and represents Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander families through cultural activities, advocacy, inclusive education and employment referrals in the Pumicestone electorate which encompasses the following schools; Bribie Island State School, Banksia Beach State School, Bribie Island High School, Caboolture State School, Caboolture State High, Beachmere State School, Pumicestone State School, Birali Steiner School. St Michaels, St Columbans

    PIEEC membership comprises Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents, carers, kinship family, Elders and supportive community members. PIEEC is an essential link between community and government stakeholders i.e Education Queensland, Federal Department for Education, Skills and Employment, including the provision of advice to both federal, state and local governments on strategic policy development and reform.

    PIEEC partners with Parent/Carers and community members to seek other services to link with, in the local Pumicestone region and the broader services delivering support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.

    Moreton Bay Regional Council electorate, Pumicestone has two distinct ends. In the east it includes Bribie Island, which is separated from the mainland by the Pumicestone Channel. The western, mainland portion includes Sandstone Point, Ningi, Beachmere and parts of Caboolture north of the D'Aguilar Highway and covers 337 square kilometres
